Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Upryst ("the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Upryst.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Upryst. If you're between 13 and 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms and consents to your use.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Scout approval

Scout accounts are subject to manual review and approval by Upryst. We may ask for evidence of your role at a club, academy or scouting organisation. We may approve, decline or revoke scout access at our discretion, including where:

• We can't verify your identity or affiliation
• You misrepresent who you work for
• You misuse player contact details or footage

While your application is pending, you'll have limited access to the platform.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload (footage, photos, profile information). By uploading it, you grant Upryst a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of running the service.

You promise that:

• You own the content or have permission to upload it
• It doesn't infringe anyone else's rights
• If it features other people, you have any consents required (especially for under-18s)

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate someone else or set up fake profiles
• Scrape, copy or redistribute player data outside the platform
• Contact players for purposes unrelated to legitimate scouting
• Upload illegal, harmful, harassing, or sexually explicit content
• Try to bypass our security, rate limits, or anti-bot systems
• Use the platform to send spam or unsolicited marketing

Breach of this section may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account.

6. Fees

The core platform is currently free for both players and scouts. We may introduce paid features in future; if we do, we'll give you clear notice and you'll only be charged after explicit consent.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, fix issues, or change features at any time. We'll try to give notice for planned downtime.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or pose a risk to other users. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to fix the issue.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Upryst is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities (including missed scouting opportunities or club offers), or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (such as for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app message at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that means you accept the new terms.
